Herb Croutons

Yields approximately 1 cup

1 cup (½-inch cubes) stale/day-old bread 

3 tablespoons olive oil

½ teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon dried thyme

½ teaspoon dried parsley

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper (to taste)

 

  1. Preheat oven to 400º F.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, oregano, thyme, parsley, garlic powder, and bread cubes. Salt and pepper to taste. Toss well to coat.
  3. Evenly spread seasoned bread onto a baking sheet. Bake at 400º F for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside, yet slightly tender on the inside. Serve with salads or soups.
