Carolina Pork Sauce

Yields approximately 1½ cups

1 cup apple cider vinegar

½ cup water

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon crushed red chili pepper flakes

½ medium white onion (thinly sliced)

Salt and pepper (to taste)

 

  1. In a bowl, whisk together vinegar, water, sugar, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add onion. Mix well to combine.
  2. Serve with shredded pork.
