Apricot-Bourbon Delight BBQ Sauce

Yields approximately 2½ cups

1 cup apricot nectar

½ cup bourbon

1 cup tomato ketchup

3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons pure vegetable oil

2 cloves garlic (minced)

½ medium yellow onion (chopped)

1 teaspoon dry mustard

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

 

  1. In a saucepan, heat vegetable oil. Sauté garlic and onion for approximately 3-4 minutes, or until translucent. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  2. Simmer on low heat, stirring frequently, for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until sauce thickens.
