Chocolate Glaze

Yields approximately ¾ cup

4 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate (coarsely chopped)

¼ cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon dark corn syrup

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  1. Melt chocolate in a double boiler.
  2. Stir in heavy cream, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. Drizzle glaze over top of desired pastry or dessert.
