Garlic Bread

Serves 6

4 garlic cloves (crushed)

½ cup unsalted butter (at room temperature)

¼ cup finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (Parmigiano-Reggiano)

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper (to taste)

1 loaf French bread (or see recipe: French Bread)

  1. In a bowl, combine garlic, butter, parsley, cheese, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Cut loaf in half, lengthwise.
  3. Spread mixture evenly over both halves. Place halves together and wrap in aluminum foil.
  4. Bake at 350° F (or place on a grill) for approximately 5-7 minutes. Carefully open foil and bake (or grill) for an additional 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately.
