Spiced Apple Cider Punch Delight

Serves 16-18

2 quarts apple cider

2 cups pear nectar

1 tablespoon allspice

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon ground cloves

½ teaspoon ground ginger

4 cinnamon sticks

1 lemon

2 cups brandy

6 cups finely crushed ice

Apple slices (for garnish)

  1. In a large saucepan, combine apple cider, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon sticks. Slice thickly one lemon and add to saucepan. Cover with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove saucepan from heat. Discard cinnamon sticks and lemon slices. Allow to cool completely, and then transfer into a large punch bowl.
  3. To the bowl, add pear nectar and brandy. Place ice in bowl. Stir well. If desired, garnish with apple slices. Serve immediately.
