Fresh Guacamole

Serves 6-8

6 ripe avocadoes (halved and pitted)

Juice of 2 limes

3 medium tomatoes (diced)

1 medium yellow onion (chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

¾ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro

1 (4-ounce) can roasted green chilies (diced)

½ teaspoon red pepper sauce (Tabasco)

½ teaspoon ground cumin

Salt and pepper (to taste)

1 (16-ounce) bag tortilla chips

 

  1. Scoop out flesh of avocadoes into a bowl. Add lime juice. Mash well. Fold in tomatoes, onion, garlic, cilantro, and green chilies. Blend in red pepper sauce and cumin. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
  2. Serve with tortilla chips.
